New Central Wyoming College building breaks ground Thursday

(Jackson, WY) – Central Wyoming College will celebrate the beginning of a new chapter with a groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m. this coming Thursday.

The public is invited to the groundbreaking ceremony that will take place near the Jackson Hole High School parking lot, just west of the site where the college is set to build a 20,288-square-foot school on a 2-acre parcel.

The public is encouraged to take the START bus or bike; otherwise, parking will be available at the high school.

The CWC Jackson campus currently rents space from the Center for the Arts.

In 2022, voters passed a $10 million specific purpose excise tax — or SPET — to bring the total $20.4 million project to fruition. Another $12.4 million in federal funding was secured through the American Rescue Plan in 2023.
